Responsibilities

• Support all major plant shutdowns/overhauls to ensure minimum downtime.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and schedules, ensuring shop floor implementation.
• Contribute to internal control systems to monitor equipment performance and drive efficiency.
• Analyze mechanical failures and resolve critical equipment problems with minimal lead-time.
• Maintain records of maintenance and failures with spend analysis to prevent repeats.
• Document all jobs with problem diagnosis and resolution details, including spares used.
• Maintain spares inventory and update regularly.
• Support process improvement initiatives (ISO, Six Sigma, PMS) per guidelines.

Job description

• Supporting all major plant shutdowns and overhauls/ breakdowns in conjunction with production departments to ensure minimum plant downtime.
• Contributing towards development of preventive maintenance plans and schedules and provide utmost importance to implementation of the same at the shop floor.
• Co-developing efficient and effective internal control systems, to keep track of the performance of equipment’s and take necessary actions to improve efficiency.
• Analyzing mechanical failures/ breakdown in equipment and solving critical equipment problems/ failures, Ensure all breakdowns are attended to with minimum lead-time.
• Maintaining record of equipment wise maintenance / mechanical failures/ breakdown in equipment and expenditure, and providing analysis of the same to prevent repetitive failures.
• Ensuring proper documentation of all jobs including details of problem diagnosis and resolution as well as spares used for future reference and analysis.
• Maintaining spares inventory and update the same at regular intervals
• Supporting implementation of key process improvement initiatives to be taken-up in maintenance department (such as ISO, Six Sigma, PMS, etc.) from time to time by in accordance with organizational guidelines.
