• Proficient in reading electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, motors and control panels.
• Strong safety compliance and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on extrusion, molding and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical faults; perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain electrical systems, panels, drives, sensors; monitor plant utilities.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and keep maintenance records.
• Coordinate with production teams and external vendors for repairs and spares.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S and energy conservation initiatives.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer Maintenance to manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities across manufacturing equipment and utilities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine uptime, troubleshooting electrical issues, supporting improvement projects, and maintaining compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Key Deliverables

Maintenance Operations

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of extrusion, molding, and utility equipment.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime through effective troubleshooting and timely corrective actions.
• Monitor and maintain electrical systems, motors, drives, panels, and utility equipment for smooth plant operations.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Equipment Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and electromechanical faults in machines and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs, PLCs, control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation systems.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.

Utility & Plant Maintenance

• Maintain compressors, chillers, AHU/HVAC systems, pumps, generators, and other utility equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machines and utilities.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical regulations, and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining required maintenance documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in improvement projects related to machine efficiency, energy conservation, and process optimization.
• Implement 5S practices and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures to avoid repeated breakdowns.

Coordination & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs, AMC activities, and spare procurement.
• Support procurement activities by identifying and recommending critical spare parts.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for effective plant operations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance in manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience with VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, motors, control panels, and electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, compressors, pumps, chillers, and utility systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure during critical breakdown situations.

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Additional Certifications

PLC Programming, Industrial Automation, Electrical Safety, or Maintenance Management certifications will be an added advantage.
