Job summary

MTC Business in Chennai is seeking to strengthen its civil infrastructure capability for plant development. The role focuses on overseeing land development, earthwork and comprehensive site development for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction and land development within industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, estimation and quantity surveying.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage land development and civil infrastructure activities within plant premises.
• Plan earthwork, excavation, filling, leveling and grading of plant land.
• Monitor internal roads, drainage, culverts, boundary walls and civil infra structure.
• Coordinate with Civil, Projects, Engineering, Production and Plant teams for execution.
• Review civil drawings, layouts, BOQs and specifications.
• Manage civil contractors, subcontractors and manpower on site.
• Track project progress, quality, cost and timelines; ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities for contractor billing.
• Ensure proper use of materials, equipment and manpower.
• Identify site issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports and contractor records.
• Support plant expansion and modification projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall land development and civil infrastructure activities within the plant premises.
• Plan and supervise earthwork, excavation, filling, leveling and grading of plant land.
• Monitor development of internal roads, drainage systems, culverts, boundary walls and other civil infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Civil, Projects, Engineering, Production and Plant teams for smooth execution.
• Review civil drawings, layouts, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Manage and monitor civil contractors, subcontractors and manpower at site.
• Track project progress, quality, cost and timelines and ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site measurements and verify work quantities for contractor billing.
• Ensure proper utilization of construction materials, equipment and manpower.
• Identify site-related issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Ensure all civil and land development activities comply with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, measurements and contractor records.
• Support plant expansion, modification and infrastructure development projects as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile
