Job Description

You must have a master’s degree in structures from a reputable institute and around 10 years of experience developing ways of working in a structural‑design team. Basic knowledge of ETABS, ROBOT, or TEKLA Structural Designer (TSD) and MS Excel is required. Revit and AutoCAD basics are advantageous. In‑depth knowledge of in‑situ concrete and steel work design, commercial acumen, and people‑management skills are essential.

• Good understanding of steel structures.
• Experience in analysis & design of industrial steel structures.
• Experience with International Codes, especially Eurocodes, is preferred.
• Experience in reviewing and approving steel workshop & erection/GA drawings.
• Experience with connection calculations (Idea Statica experience preferred).
• Basic skills in Tekla Structures.
• Basic understanding and experience of Revit and AutoCAD are beneficial.
• Expertise in analysis software such as STAAD Pro, RFEM.
• Other preferred software skills: Robot, FEMdesign, ETABS.

You will join our Global Engineering Centre (REC). The role is part of a dedicated institution focused on creating an excellence centre in Ramboll, providing global expertise using local resources from India. The team collaborates with India, Europe, and the Middle East across Buildings, Transport and Water sectors.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/MTech in Civil from a reputed institution.
• Experience on international projects/codes like Eurocodes is advantageous.
• Experience in analysis, design and detailing of steel structures.
• Deliver high quality: calculation models & reports, steel workshop & erection drawings (QA).
• Experience on building projects with structural steel.
• Analysis & design of steel structures using STAAD Pro and/or RFEM.
• Experience in Eurocodes is preferred.
• Connection calculations (Idea Statica expertise preferred).
• Checking and approval of workshop and erection/GA drawings.
• Ability to collaborate and work in large and diverse project teams.
• Excellent English communication skills—written & spoken.
