Job summary

Ramboll India, Gurgaon, invites a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the REC Ground Engineering team. You will contribute to global projects, applying geotechnical design for heavy civil structures and ground improvement, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role demands 7+ years of hands-on experience, proficiency in PLAXIS 2D/3D, and strong English report writing skills. European/British codes knowledge is advantageous, and multinational exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years hands-on design experience in geotechnical design for heavy civil structures (foundations, marine, earth retention, ground improvement, slopes).
• Experience with European design codes (Eurocodes) or British Codes (BS) is a plus.
• Overseas/multinational work experience is preferred.
• Excellent English report writing skills are required.
• Be a good team member and coordinate with project manager for timely delivery.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D is required.

• Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and apply design parameters.
• Perform soil-structure interaction modeling and validation.
• Conduct slope stability analyses and design support systems.
• Design Secant piles, King piles, sheet piles, and combiwalls.
• Assess ground movement, settlement, and risks for urban structures.
• Propose instrumentation and monitoring schemes and review data.
• Model numerically and interpret results for slope stability analyses.
• Prepare geotechnical/geological design specifications and criteria.
• Collaborate with team members and project manager to ensure on-time delivery.

As our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer for REC RUK Ground Engineering team you will be part of world class, innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions for UK based projects.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical/geologicaldesignparameters
• Soil Structural Interaction Analysis Modeling and Validation
• Slope Stability Analysis and Support Systems Design
• Design of Secant piles, King Piles, Sheet piles, Combiwalls
• Ground movement, Settlement Prediction and Risk Assessments for Urban Structures

• Candidates having experience in working with Multinational Companies / overseas will be preferred.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS 2D, PLAXIS 3D
• Excellent command of the English Language with proven report writing skills.
• Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project
