Job summary

Eaton is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/Industrial engineer to join the Filtration engineering team at our Innovation Center in Pune. You will design, develop, and sustain industrial, hydraulic, and life science filters, ensuring compliance with ASME, PED, and EN standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with 5+ years of experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. Experience in filtration design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and sustain industrial, hydraulic and life science filters.
• Assist in creating technical proposals, manufacturing drawings / BOMs for filter solutions and documentation.
• Resolve production non-conformance, quality issues, and RCAs under guidance.
• Prepare design documents based on ASME, PED and EN standards for pressure vessels.
• Develop new products based on market or customer needs.
• Support development of product sizing and selection tools and SOP enhancements.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and complete other engineering tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• A Bachler or master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. Experience in filtration design is preferred.

Skills

• Requires in depth knowledge of pressure vessel design and mechanical calculations. Exposure to process design, and filter design is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices
• Excellent communication skills and able to communicate concepts and design effectively.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly to stake holders.
• Strong solid modelling skills in software like Creo or solid works.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
• Affinity with filtration and/or separation as essential technology in process industry
• An ability to work in an international environment with functional teams spread over various regions including corresponding willingness to travel
• Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results under supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office
