Job summary

Pall Corporation in Pune, India, part of Danaher, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 1-2 years of design experience in Oil & Gas or Refinery sectors. You will generate designs meeting customer specifications, ensuring safe and robust designs that are easy to manufacture and operate.

You will work within a cross-functional team, review P&ID and piping systems, support technical clarifications with customers and suppliers, and help solve product issues.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or equivalent) with 1-2 years of design experience Oil & Gas or Refinery sector.
• Experience in pressure vessel design as per ASME/PED standard.
• Understanding of P&ID, piping systems, skidded systems
• Very good communication, especially English
• Good knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, molding/ casting and sealing mechanisms.
• 3D and 2D CAD skills
• Experience of piping design (CAESAR-II) and structure design (StaadPro) will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Generate designs which meets customer specifications and offers safe and reliable/robust design which is easy to manufacture/operate and maintain.
• Work as part of a cross functional team designing and detailing products ensuring safety and functionality are met in accordance with the customer requirements and current legislation.
• Support technical clarification meetings with other groups at Pall as well as customers and suppliers & support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers, suppliers on product technical issues.

This position reports to the Director, Global ETO Engineering , Energy+ and is part of the Engineering department, team of Energy+ Business Unit, located in Pune and will be an on-site role
