Job summary

River, a Bengaluru-based design company, is hiring for an automotive embedded hardware engineer. You will design and test circuits for BMS, VCU, display and telematics modules, performing simulations, prototype bring-up and validation in collaboration with mechanical and software teams.

Ideal candidates hold a BE/B.Tech in EEE/ECE with 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive electronics, with EV industry exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in EEE/ECE required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience designing automotive electronics.
• Experience in EV industry preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in analog/digital design, signal/power integrity.
• Hands-on prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation.
• Lab work in a controlled environment with test equipment.
• Altium Designer is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test circuits for automotive embedded hardware (BMS, VCU, Display/cluster, Telematics).
• Analyze design per system requirements and component specs.
• Compute electrical ratings, durability and life; select components.
• Perform circuit simulations and analyses in SPICE for POC/ideation.
• Prepare DFMEA documentation and internal test reports.
• Carry out board bring up, testing, troubleshooting and software flashing.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure timely product development.

Key Responsibilities

• As a component owner, your primary responsibility is to design, develop and test circuits (on-board power supplies, analog and digital circuits etc.) for automotive embedded hardware components (BMS, VCU, Display/cluster, Telematics).
• Analyze design as per system requirements and components specifications.
• Perform calculations (electrical ratings, mechanical durability and life) and select components (passives, discretes and actives).
• Perform circuit simulations and analysis in SPICE software for POC and ideation.
• Expertise in schematic capture and documentation of design including DFMEA and Internal test reports.
• Carry out board bring up, testing, troubleshooting and initial software flashing.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure timely development of the product.

Ideal Candidate

• B.E/ B.Tech in EEE/ECE.
• 3 to 5 years relevant industry experience designing automotive electronics.
• Experience in the EV industry is preferred.
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.).
• Must have hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation.
• Comfortable in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, power supplies, current probes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc.
• Expertise in Altium Designer software is a mandate.
• Experience working with mechanical design and software development teams.
