Vehicle Data Engineer – Functional Development

Job Role :

We are seeking a Vehicle Data Engineer to join our Functional Development team. This role is focused on vehicle-level data analysis, where the candidate will work with data collected from sensors placed on the vehicle. The objective is to derive meaningful metrics, analyze vehicle behavior, and ensure the data supports the development of key vehicle systems such as chassis, suspension, tires, and brakes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze data from on-vehicle sensors to assess handling, braking, and comfort performance.
• Develop and refine metrics that help quantify vehicle behavior and performance.
• Provide insights to optimize vehicle systems such as chassis, suspension, tires, and brakes.
• Correlate objective data with subjective rider feedback to support system development.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including vehicle dynamics, test engineers, and system developers.
• Automate data processing workflows and create dashboards for efficient analysis.
• Document findings and present insights to relevant stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate :

• BE in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering; ME in a relevant field is a plus.
• 4 to 6 years in vehicle-level data analysis, sensor data interpretation, and system performance evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems (VBOX, 2D, Dew eSoft, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or other data analysis tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or custom dashboards).
• Good understanding of vehicle dynamics and system interactions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
