Job summary

Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune, India, seeks an Engineer for Verification and Validation to join the embedded systems and electrical product testing team. You will craft manual and automated test cases for Linux-based devices such as relays, meters, and circuit protection units, leveraging Python and Selenium for web app testing and validating nonfunctional requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, E&TC or Instrumentation engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in verification and validation or QA roles.

Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and write manual/complex test cases and automation scripts for embedded Linux-based systems.
• Perform web application testing and contribute to test automation with Selenium and Python.
• Participate in QA processes, develop and execute test plans and test cases.
• Identify and write complex test cases; contribute to nonfunctional testing (e.g., performance).
• Collaborate with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr; support CI/CD as needed.

Job description

What you'll do:

We are looking forward to an Engineer- Verification and validation at Eaton India Innovation Center, based in Pune, India. We majorly work on Electrical products like Meters(Power quality, multipoint meters), Trips units and Circuit breaker devices (ACBs, MCCBs). Understand product requirements and write manual complex features test cases and creating automation test scripts for embedded systems running for Linux platforms for Circuit Protection products (Relays/Meters etc.).Web scrapping using Python-selenium and knowledge of PyTest framework.

• Have a strong understanding of testing of Web applications
• Should have worked in manual and automated testing
• Should have experience with Selenium, Python and various frameworks for test automation
• Should hands on experience in QA processes and concepts
• Should be excellent in identifying & writing complex TestCases
• Should be have some exposure to nonfunctional testing like performance etc
• Should be able to bring innovative ideas and drive innovation
• Experience in JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr,CI/CD would be an added advantage
