Produce and manage electrical engineering designs for Optimil equipment and mineral processing systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and schedules. Daily tasks include developing electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical, and preparing Bills of Materials. Success means delivering high-quality, timely designs that meet customer and project expectations.
Create and review detailed 3D mechanical and electrical designs using Siemens NX (UG NX) or similar CAD software. Perform cable tray design, cable routing, and detailed engineering within 3D environments to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing progress updates and aligning with project timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electrical and control systems. Occasional travel to sites and workshops will be required to support E&I activities and resolve practical issues.
Apply and maintain adherence to electrical standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEMA, and NEC (NFPA 70). Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on design quality, standardization, and customer satisfaction.

Must-haves: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related discipline with 5-10 years of hands‑on electrical and control systems design experience. Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 (v2022 or later) and Siemens NX (UG NX) or similar 3D CAD software. Strong experience in industrial control panel design including motors, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, instrumentation, cables, terminations, and enclosures. Solid understanding of electrical design principles, engineering documentation, and relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEMA, NEC).
Nice-to-haves: Experience in mining, mineral processing, bulk materials handling, or other heavy industrial/OEM environments. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and hands‑on experience with PLC/HMI hardware configuration and software development (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley). Site installation, commissioning, or field support experience. Exposure to Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Instrument Lists, and Equipment Lists interpretation and development.
