Weir Minerals (India) Private Limited in Odisha seeks an Engineer - Sales to drive business development for mineral processing equipment in the Barbil/Keonjhar region. You will engage customers, prepare proposals, coordinate with internal teams, and travel extensively across the territory.

The role requires a diploma/bachelor’s in mineral processing, 1–2 years in the field, strong communication, and willingness to travel. Onsite work arrangement in the Odisha region.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the Odisha region, Keonjhar/Barbil area.

Responsibilities

• Generate business for Original Equipment and integrated solutions related to process improvement within the mineral processing equipment sector in the Odisha region.
• Conduct regular visits and presentations to customers in the Keonjhar/Barbil area, managing relationships at all levels to understand and meet their requirements effectively.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, handle discussions, and close orders to achieve agreed business objectives and company KPIs.
• Collaborate with regional, SIOP, engineering, and operations teams; provide weekly updates on new business opportunities, customer feedback, and strategies to address customer pain points.
• Spend days engaging with customers, preparing proposals, coordinating internally, and traveling extensively (approximately 15-20 days per month) within the territory.

What you’ll do

Success Metrics

Success will be measured by meeting or exceeding sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the growth of Weir’s business in the region.

Travel Requirements

Extensive field travel within Odisha territory, primarily around Keonjhar and Barbil.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in mineral processing or related industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Familiarity with the Keonjhar/Barbil region and local mining ecosystem.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to mineral processing plants or mining operations in the Odisha mining belt.
• Prior technical sales experience or customer-facing roles.
• Diploma holders with relevant skills and knowledge may also be considered.
