Job summary

Egis seeks a detail-oriented Engineer - Drainage to join our Bengaluru, India team. You will design, develop, and implement comprehensive drainage systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient water management and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3–7 years of drainage/civil engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, STAAD Pro), and familiarity with GIS.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of professional experience in drainage engineering, civil engineering, or related infrastructure design roles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and drainage design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic analysis and hydrological modeling software (HEC-RAS, STAAD Pro).
  • Experience with GIS software for site analysis and mapping.
  • Solid understanding of stormwater management and wastewater drainage systems.
  • Knowledge of urban planning standards and municipal drainage requirements.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop drainage systems, including stormwater and wastewater management infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys, hydrological assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documents using CAD and modeling tools.
  • Analyze hydraulic data to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee construction and implementation of drainage projects per designs and timelines.
  • Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers.
  • Ensure designs comply with local building codes and municipal regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Drainage to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive drainage systems and infrastructure solutions. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient water management and compliance with all regulatory standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, organized project management capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

  • Design and develop drainage systems, including stormwater and wastewater management infrastructure, using industry-standard methodologies
  • Conduct detailed site surveys, hydrological assessments, and feasibility studies to determine optimal drainage solutions
  • Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation using CAD software and modeling tools
  • Analyze hydraulic and hydrological data to ensure system efficiency and compliance with environmental regulations
  • Oversee construction, installation, and implementation of drainage projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and maintenance improvements
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to integrate drainage solutions into larger infrastructure projects
  • Ensure all designs and implementations comply with local building codes, municipal regulations, and industry standards
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation for stakeholder review and approval
  • Participate in site inspections and troubleshoot drainage-related issues to maintain system functionality
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in drainage engineering, civil engineering, or related infrastructure design roles
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and drainage design tools
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic analysis and hydrological modeling software (HEC-RAS, STAAD Pro)
