Job summary

Glatt Systems is seeking a proactive Planning professional to drive material and capacity planning for OSD projects from Pune, coordinating with sales, projects and engineering. You will manage long lead items and raw material inventories, ensuring on-time availability and efficient production flow.

The role requires shop floor understanding, production scheduling know-how, and NAV routing experience to optimize resources and mitigate shortages.

Qualifications

• Shop floor experience and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of production scheduling and material planning concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP/NAV and its inventory modules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advance material planning for OSD projects by coordinating with Sales, Projects and Engineering.
• Work with SCM to ensure material availability for long lead items and control inventory as per project needs.
• Plan raw materials ahead of projects and projected orders for efficient inventory management.
• Manage and control raw material planning for effective inventory management.
• Plan shortages after MRP run and mitigate shortages.
• Capacity planning based on IFAT planning to identify resource gaps and bottlenecks.
• Routing validation and correction in NAV.
• Coordinate with CFT for free stock reduction for sub-assemblies and outsourcing.
• Allocate inventory based on requirement and adjust variants as needed.
• Draft action plans for resource mitigation after discussions with senior planning and manufacturing leads.

Roles & Responsibilities (in detail):

Advance Material Planning for OSD Business - Co-ordinate with Sales, Projects and Engineering for effective planning and align requirments as per project schedule

Work Along with SCM for material availability for Long Lead Items and control inventory for these items as per project requirement

Raw Material Planning - Make advance planning for raw material based on planned projects and projected upcoming orders

Manage and Control Raw Material Planning for effective and efficient inventory management

Raw material Planning - after MRP run and derive shortages and make plan shortage mitigation

Capacity Planning - based on IFAT planning make capacity planning and find out resource gaps and bottlenecks

Routing Validation and correction in NAV

Co-ordinate with CFT for Free Stock Inventory reduction for Sub-assy and SPL and sub-assy outsourcing

Inventory allocation based on requirement (variant adjustment)

Make draft action plan for resource mitigation after discussion with Senior Planning Person and Manufacturing team leaders
