TransUnion is seeking an Engineer, Data Development to design, build and maintain BI solutions leveraging SQL Server 2017+, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and Power BI. You will contribute across the data ecosystem and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable BI/DW projects.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in BI or data engineering, strong T-SQL, and comfort with Cloud (GCP) and Fabric technologies. This role offers hybrid work arrangements and collaboration with global teams.
Summary of Role: The role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Business Intelligence solutions for TransUnion using SQL Server 2017, supporting BI tools and Microsoft Fabric.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Must have a passion for programming and data analytics Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Advanced level familiarity with BI technologies (e.g., SSAS, SSRS). Experience in Microsoft Fabric. Advanced experience using automated testing (e. g SQL Server database Unit Testing, Specflow). Modern development practices such as Agile, source control, coding standards for example Plans, organizes, and manoeuvres obstacles to deliver results Critical thinking skills to identify root cause and permanent resolution Experience with REST based API Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling) Experience with cloud technologies and Python would be considered as advantage. Must be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience: Commercial experience of Business Intelligence development using SQL Server 2017 and higher version, SSDT Including IS/ AS/ RS, stored procedures, views, and functions Experience of SQL Server 2017 Analysis Services (Tabular) PowerPivot Experience of writing unit tests and using build systems in conjunction with database systems Experience with large databases Qualifications: Education to degree level (or higher) in relevant discipline preferred Must have at least 5 years of experience working in a business intelligence, data engineering or data related field.
