We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Associate Developer with a strong foundation in Java and a passion for Big Data technologies. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and applications within our cloud environment (AWS and GCP). You will work closely with senior engineers to build scalable and efficient solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable data pipelines using technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Scala, and Python. Write efficient and maintainable code in Java, Scala, and Python. Design and implement data models and SQL queries for efficient data access and analysis. Work within a cloud-based environment (AWS and GCP) to build and deploy data solutions. Contribute to the development and maintenance of data infrastructure. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and applications. Contribute to documentation of data pipelines and system architecture. Stay up-to-date with the latest Big Data technologies and trends.
