Job summary

Freudenberg Group seeks a Cost Accountant to drive product costing, cost analysis, and intercompany pricing across manufacturing plants. You will coordinate with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Master Data to ensure accurate costing and data quality.

The role involves standard cost calculations, month-end/year-end activities, and continuous improvement initiatives within SAP S/4HANA environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience in cost analysis, variances, and trends.
• Manufacturing/production environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily product costing and cost analysis for sales, service, offers, and production orders.
• Monitor cost variances, trends, and improvements across plants.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Master Data teams for accuracy.
• Prepare periodic and annual Standard Cost Calculations per policy and reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end costing activities and ensure timely tasks.
• Calculate and maintain intercompany pricing for products and services.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and provide actionable insights.
• Provide costing insights to Finance Managers and stakeholders.
• Support global costing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure BOMs, Routings, and costing master data accuracy.
• Investigate costing discrepancies and material variances.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily product costing and cost analysis for sales, service, offers, and production orders across assigned manufacturing plants.
• Monitor and analyze product costs to identify cost variances, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Master Data teams to ensure accurate product costing and master data quality.
• Prepare periodic and annual Standard Cost Calculations in accordance with company policies and financial reporting requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end costing activities and ensure timely completion of cost-related tasks.
• Calculate and maintain intercompany pricing for products and services.
• Analyze, track, reconcile, and confirm intercompany transactions.
• Provide costing analysis and financial insights to Finance Managers and business stakeholders.
• Support the Global Cost Management Team by participating in global costing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, and other costing master data.
• Investigate and resolve costing discrepancies, material variances, and production cost issues.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations related to product costing and manufacturing performance.
• Support implementation and optimization of costing processes within SAP S/4HANA.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Cost Accounting or Finance are an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, product costing, or manufacturing finance.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Exposure to multinational manufacturing operations is an added advantage.
• Technical or engineering background is considered a plus.
