Job summary

Wood is seeking an Instrumentation engineer with 5+ years of experience in design and detailed engineering for DCS, PLC and Fire & Gas systems. The role involves preparing instrument indices from P&ID, creating wiring diagrams and loop drawings, and guiding designers on instrument location planning.

Candidate should have a BE/BTech in Instrumentation and hands-on experience with SPI Instrument Index Module and MS Excel, contributing to safe, compliant project execution worldwide.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech (Instrumentation) is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in design and detailed engineering for DCS, PLC and F&G systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Instrument Index from P&ID using SPI Instrument Index Module and MS Excel.
• Develop wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and installation details as needed.
• Guide designers in Instrument Location Plan drawings and Fire & Gas layouts.

Overview / Responsibilities

• Preparation of Instrument Index from P&ID's using SPI Instrument Index Module and / or MS - ExcelUnderstanding of international standardsI / O List PreparationPreparation of Data Sheet for various Instruments including sizing calculationsPreparation of Wiring Diagram & loop Drawing, Hook - up (Installation Detail)Conversant in PDS 3D Modeling to guide designers in preparation of Instrument Location Plan Drawing, Fire & Gas Detection layout, Block Diagram, Cable Schedule, Cable Tray Layout etc.
• Development of Level Sketches, other hook up drawings, and estimation of MTOs etc.
• Responsible for supporting the objectives of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and Information Security Management Policy by adhering to applicable Procedures and Work Practices while fulfilling of dutiesDesign and detailed engineering for DCS, PLC and F&G Systems (Preferred)
