Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 6 to 9 years of BIW and sheet metal design experience for our Chennai, India site. You will understand project requirements per milestones, support engineering and design from kick-off to release, prepare drawings and models, and contribute to CAD/CAE activities and validations.

You will work with internal and external experts to develop BIW/Closure/Underbody parts, prepare Bills of Material, and align with global BIW

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements per program milestones.
• Support engineering and design from kick-off to implementation, including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, drawing and model preparation and release, CAE and physical validation support, development and implementation support.
• CAD support for engineering proposals preparation in consultation with internal and external experts.
• Release of drawings and models with system engineer.
• Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM).
• Exposure to global requirements for BIW engineering and design (Body side Closures, Underbody and front end).
• Conceptualizing, designing and development of BIW/Closure/Underbody Sheet metal parts.
• Support to CDMM and other implementation team for part development and quality initiatives.

Education

Graduate in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
