Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced design engineer for tractor cabin components in Chennai. The role focuses on sheet metal, plastic and rubber part design, with UG NX and surface modelling expertise.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, B.E/B.Tech in Automotive/Mechanical, and strong knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, and assembly/serviceability requirements. You will work on new product development and ensure designs meet standards.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Automotive/Mechanical with relevant tractor cabin design exposure.
• 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal, plastic and rubber parts design.
• Expertise in UG NX software and surface modelling; Team Center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of tractor cabin sheet metal, plastic and rubber parts.
• Perform 3-D layout, 2-D drawings and surface modelling using UG NX.
• Review technical documents, DFMEA, GD&T references and ensure homologation standards.
• Collaborate on new product development and ensure assembly/serviceability requirements.

Job description

• Knowledge of complete new product development.
• Should have Knowledge of tractor cabin / vehicle systems and its applications.
• Functional understanding & experience in designing the parts for tractor.
• Design experience of Sheetmetal, Plastic/Trims, Rubbers parts etc.
• Knowledge of design, testing and validation of tractor Cabin.
• Expertise in UG NX & Team Centre Engineering
• Knowledge & should have worked in 1 complete project with design tools like DFMEA, DFM,DFA, DFS & GD&T
• knowledge of manufacturing process of sheet metal, Rubber and plastic parts.
• 3-D layout preparation, 2-D drawing preperation.
• Review & monitoring techincal documnets like vitrual simualtion, Standards & homologation requirments to meet the design spec's.
• Understanding Assembly and Serviceability requirement in tractor.

Experience

3-5 years with relevant experience in sheetmetal, plastic and rubber parts design & development.
