Job summary

Addverb Technologies in India is seeking an experienced electrical assembly supervisor to lead end-to-end manufacturing processes. You will read wiring diagrams, BOMs and specifications to ensure precise assembly and drive quality on the shop floor.

You will supervise and upskill a team, implement SOPs, PFMEA, and control plans, and push Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke and 5S initiatives while coordinating with Design, Quality and Planning teams for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GD&T and electrical drawings.
• Experience with electrical assembly, wiring, and harnesses.
• Awareness of safety practices including LOTO and grounding.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end assembly process to meet monthly plan while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and specs to ensure accurate assembly.
• Supervise and upskill assembly team to hit monthly targets and maintain quality.
• Prepare and maintain electrical assembly documents: Work Instructions, PFDs, PFMEA, Control Plans, Check Sheets, SOPs.
• Develop error-proofing and standardized assembly practices to reduce defects and rework.
• Ensure proper assembly of electrical components, wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, contactors, MCBs, connectors, terminals, and control panels.
• Monitor production, quality, rejection, rework, and downtime metrics; implement corrective actions.
• Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions.
• Drive Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke, 5S, Lean initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Design, Quality, and Planning to resolve issues and implement changes.

Job description

GD&T knowledge Knowledge of assembly tools such as torque wrench, spanners, pneumatic tools, etc.

• Knowledge of fasteners, their applications, and different types of joints
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Poka Yoke, 3M, Kaizen, 5S, Jigs & Fixtures
• Basic knowledge of SAP for material requisition and material consumption
• Lean Manufacturing
• Strong knowledge in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Knowledge of electrical assembly and wiring, including cable routing, crimping, termination, and connector assembly
• Knowledge of electrical components such as MCBs, relays, contactors, switches, sensors, terminals, connectors, and cables
• Knowledge of cable dressing, harness assembly, wire identification, ferruling, and proper termination practices Awareness of electrical safety practices, including isolation/LOTO, grounding, and safe handling of electrical equipment

Job Responsibilities:-

• 1. Manage the end-to-end assembly process to achieve production targets as per the monthly plan while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• 2. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and technical specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
• 3. Supervise and upskill assembly team members to achieve monthly production targets and maintain quality standards.
• 4. Prepare, implement, and maintain electrical assembly-related documents such as Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, Control Plans, Check Sheets, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• 5. Develop and implement error-proofing mechanisms and standardized assembly practices to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
• 6. Ensure proper assembly and installation of electrical components, wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, contactors, MCBs, connectors, terminals, and control panels as per specifications.
• 7. Monitor production, quality, rejection, rework, and downtime metrics and implement corrective actions to improve overall assembly performance.
• 8. Identify assembly-related problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• 9. Drive Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and process efficiency.
• 10. Coordinate with Design, Quality, and Planning teams for resolving assembly issues, implementing design changes, ensuring material availability.
