Job summary

V3 Staffing is seeking a Test Engineer in Hyderabad to lead manual and automation testing for embedded systems, ensuring high-quality products and rapid defect identification.

You will design test plans, execute test cases, document defects, and collaborate with developers and product managers to improve testing processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of test processes and test methodologies.
• 5+ years’ experience in embedded system testing. Your Title and Salary would be based on your experience and the potential value you could deliver.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality software to production within tight schedules.
• Ability to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and timelines.
• Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality

• Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication or Electrical/Electronic or Computer Science.
• 10 + years of relevant experience in embedded systems involving software, firmware, and hardware testing.

• Experience with defect tracking, test management, and software revision control.
• Experience in IP and networking protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, Ethernet, IGMP, DHCP, Active directory).
• Experience in audio testing is a plus.
• Experience in providing and presenting project status reports through the development cycle.
• Team-oriented; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automation test cases.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Provide process improvement recommendations.
