Job summary

BTL India Private Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a test engineer to plan, identify, and execute system-level testing across embedded and software environments for medical devices, firmware, and software applications.

You will design and execute manual and automated tests, validate data, analyze logs, and maintain desktop UI automation using C# and .NET. Collaboration with R&D teams and adherence to safety standards are essential for on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioelectronics, Electronics & Communication (ECE), or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of proven hands-on software and system testing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL databases with hands-on experience reading, creating and modifying data and schemas.
• Practical understanding of JSON and XML data formats, strong ability to analyze system logs to isolate root causes.
• Hands-on experience setting up and utilizing Virtual Machines (VMs) for release testing cycles.
• Strong command of structured testing processes, test case development and end-to-end defect lifecycle management using Jira or equivalent tracking tools.
• Strong command of C# and .NET.
• Practical experience in desktop UI automation using Microsoft UIAutomation, AutomationIds, and structured UI abstraction patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
• Proficient with Git, GitLab, and running automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D firmware and software engineering teams to troubleshoot complex integration issues and meet strict project delivery timelines.
• Understand product features in detail to develop robust test cases and perform rigorous test execution to challenge the design.
• Adhere to established safety, quality, and regulatory protocols to ensure overall product compliance.
• Interpret technical designs and schematics to identify critical test scenarios and optimize test coverage.
• Drive early defect identification and contribute proactive ideas to improve the overall testing process.
