Detailed Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer supporting FT Protech on a 5-day work-from-office schedule in Hyderabad, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of Android architecture development, kernel interfacing, and modem integration. Your day-to-day responsibilities include authoring low-level code using C and C++, implementing user space kernel interfacing via NETLINK and IOCTL, managing external modem communication with QMI, and configuring MHI and PCIe drivers. You will operate in a collaborative Agile engineering environment while partnering closely with hardware design squads, QA specialists, and cross-functional technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy robust embedded software applications utilizing C, C++, and Java programming languages.
• Spearhead Android Framework development, customization, and deep integration across complex hardware architectures.
• Implement advanced kernel interfacing using NETLINK and IOCTL protocols within user space environments.
• Integrate external wireless modems utilizing QMI communication standards, Modem Manager, and libqmi frameworks.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain MHI and PCIe drivers for high-speed hardware communication and data transfer.
