Embedded Software Engineer – Job Description

The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for mobile SOC Kernel to support MediaTek Smartphone and Tablet.

• System performance and architectural analysis (Power / Performance / Area), including analysis/assess/project/report CPU/MIPS, bus bandwidth, latencies, memory utilization for current and next generation chipsets to meet product requirements across various subsystems on the modem/SoC.
• Debug system issues and find suitable HW/SW solutions.
• Involvement in Pre‑Silicon evaluations.
• Develop automation environment & tools for profiling, validation and debugging.
• Platform driver development.

Requirements

• B.Tech in ECE / CSE / ISE with 2‑8 years of experience in modem platform development.
• Industry experience with CPU microarchitecture (e.g., ISAs including ARM, MIPS) and/or coherent caching systems.
• Experience with computer architecture, system simulation, and performance evaluation.
• Detailed microarchitecture knowledge of CPU, NoC, Bus, Cache, etc.
• Experience in RTOS principles and concepts, and hands‑on experience in any RTOS.
• Proficient in various programming languages including C and Python.
• Good to have: basic knowledge on LTE / NR Cellular architecture.
• Good to have: knowledge on compiler tool chain – LLVM / GCC.
• CM Tools usage (Version control): GIT / Perforce.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work proactively and independently.
