Multispan Control Instrument is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for high-performance smart devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to production, implementing I2C/SPI/UART/CAN/Ethernet/USB and RTOS or bare-metal software.
Responsibilities include board bring-up, hardware debugging, and collaborating with hardware designers and QA to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance firmware and embedded software solutions. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and system engineering teams to bring next-generation smart devices from concept to production.
Design Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C and C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors.
Board Bring-Up: Perform initial hardware bring-up, debugging, and board-level software testing on prototype hardware.
System Integration: Implement communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, and USB.
RTOS Bare-Metal: Develop and integrate real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks) or bare-metal software architectures.
Hardware Debugging: Utilize tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debuggers to troubleshoot hardware-software interactions.
Optimization: Analyze and optimize code for memory footprint, processing speed, and low power consumption.
Collaboration: Work alongside hardware designers, product managers, and software QA engineers to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
