Job summary

VME Vhire Solutions in Pune is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement firmware for connected devices. You will work on Cortex-M microcontrollers, RTOS-based systems, and low-power wireless via Thread/OpenThread.

Applicants should have strong C/C++ skills, experience with Nordic SDK or nRF Connect, and familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD and MQTT/CoAP protocols. This role emphasizes architectural thinking, interfaces, and power optimization.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Proficient with ARM Cortex-M MCUs (Nordic nRF52/53 preferred).
• Familiar with FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS.
• Strong build system and toolchain knowledge (CMake, GCC, SEGGER).
• Experience with Thread and low-power wireless.
• Knowledge of OpenThread and mesh networking is a plus.
• Understanding of CAN/CAN-FD and IP-based protocols (MQTT/CoAP).

Job description

Embedded Software Development

• Solid experience in embedded software development using C/C++


• Experience with ARM CortexM microcontrollers (ideally Nordic nRF52/nRF53)


• Familiarity with RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, Zephyr especially relevant for Nordic/Thread)


• Proficient with build systems and toolchains (CMake, GCC, SEGGER tools)

Wireless & IoT Technologies

• Experience with low-power wireless technologies, especially: Thread (preferred) / IEEE 802.15.4


• Knowledge of Thread stack (e.g. OpenThread) is a strong advantage


• Understanding of mesh networking and IP-based communication in embedded systems


• Experience with Nordic SDK / nRF Connect SDK

Communication Protocols

• Strong knowledge of: CAN / CAN-FD


• Ideally experience in implementing or integrating CAN stacks


• Experience with: Protocol gateways / protocol conversion


• Mapping data models between different communication systems


• Additional protocol knowledge is a plus: TCP/IP, UDP


• MQTT or CoAP

System Understanding

• Ability to design system architectures and define interfaces


• Experience with: Real-time requirements, Memory and power optimization


• Basic understanding of embedded security (secure boot, OTA updates, encryption)
