Job summary

Sunovaa Tech is seeking an experienced C++ Embedded Developer to design, implement and maintain real-time embedded software. You will work on RTOS-based systems, Embedded Linux, and device drivers while collaborating with hardware and QA teams.

The role requires hands-on development with C++, Embedded C, multithreading, and debugging with GDB/JTAG, and familiarity with UART/SPI/I2C/CAN/TCP-IP protocols. On-site Hyderabad.

C++ Embedded Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced C++ Embedded Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and Embedded Linux. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, debugging, and maintaining embedded software for real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.


• Develop applications and firmware for RTOS-based embedded systems.


• Work with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, or similar.


• Develop and debug multithreaded and real-time applications.


• Perform low-level debugging using tools such as GDB, JTAG, and debugging/profiling tools.


• Work on Embedded Linux environments and system-level software.


• Develop or integrate device drivers and hardware interfaces.


• Work with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, TCP/IP, and UDP.


• Analyze software and system issues and perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.


• Participate in software design, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.


• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, and systems engineering teams.


• Use Git, CMake/Make, GCC, Jenkins, and other development/build tools.


• Optimize code for performance, memory utilization, reliability, and real-time response.


• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to software development standards.

Required Skills

• 48 years of experience in embedded software development.


• Strong programming experience in C++ and Embedded C.


• Hands-on experience with RTOS.


• Good understanding of multithreading, synchronization, IPC, memory management, and real-time concepts.


• Experience with Embedded Linux.


• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.


• Knowledge of ARM/Cortex architecture is preferred.


• Experience with embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN.


• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and version control using Git.


• Experience with CMake/Make, GCC, GDB or equivalent tools.

Good to Have

• Experience with FreeRTOS / VxWorks / QNX / ThreadX.


• Yocto / Embedded Linux build systems.


• Device driver development.


• Jenkins / CI-CD.


• Google Test or other unit-testing frameworks.


• Networking protocols and embedded connectivity.
