Job summary

Valeo in Chennai is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement C++ applications on ARM/DSP platforms, while shaping robust branching, build, and release processes.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and DevOps to keep the Integration Mainline deployable, perform test automation with Jenkins, and apply OO design and UML-based architecture to complex automotive software.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software development using C++ on ARM/DSP.
• Define and enforce branching strategies and merge policies across engineering teams.
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated builds, static analysis, and unit testing.
• Strong knowledge of build systems and configuration management tools (Git, Hg).
• Coordinate release management with Product Owners and DevOps, ensuring the Integration Mainline remains deployable.
• Experience in test automation using Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience in parallel programming (CUDA or OpenCL).
• Familiarity with software architecture documentation using UML or similar tools.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Working knowledge of MATLAB, Python, OpenCV, or similar prototyping/scripting tools.
• Knowledge of embedded processor internals, hardware blocks, and peripherals
