Job summary

Innoiq Engineering is seeking a Senior Embedded Developer/Software Architect to drive architecture, design and implementation of bare-metal embedded software across MCU platforms in Pune. The role demands hands-on control, deep knowledge of hardware initialisation, memory mapping and low-level development.

You will lead technical teams, perform reviews, and champion safe, testable software using V-Model and CI practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Embedded software development.
• At least 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in bare-metal programming and hardware initialization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead bare-metal embedded software you will own components for multiple MCUs.
• Drive design reviews, code reviews and mentorship for junior engineers.
• Define and implement HALs, ensure traceability and IEC 62304 aligned workflows.

Job description

Position: Senior Embedded Developer/Software architect:

Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Embedded software development field, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Bare-Metal Expertise:

• Microcontroller Architectures: Deep knowledge of STM, NR, ARM Cortex-M (M0+, M4, M7, M33), TI MCU.
• Low-Level Programming: Mastery of Embedded C and Assembly for direct register-level manipulation without an OS layer.
• Hardware Initialization: Expert handling of custom bootloaders, startup code, clock trees, and power-on reset (POR) sequences.
• Memory Management: Strict control over Linker scripts, memory mapping, custom heap allocation, and avoiding fragmentation.
• Peripherals & Protocols: Expert implementation of driver level communication for SPI, I2C, UART. Wireless Communication Like BLE
• Hands on Experience in debugging using J-link, JTAG, DSO, Logic analyzers.

Full product life cycle development:

• Proven experience in at least in 2 products full development.
• Must have experience in Requirement gathering, discussion with customer, Design development of product as per IEC62304.

Medical Regulatory & Compliance

• IEC 62304: Deep understanding of this lifecycle standard, specifically Class B and Class C (critical risk) software development workflows.

Technical Leadership & Process:

• Architecture Design: Ability to modularize monolithic bare-metal codebases into clean, reusable and highly testable hardware abstraction layers (HAL).
• V-Model Development: Leading teams through strict traceability matrix setups, linking user needs to software requirements, down to unit tests.
• Code Review & Mentorship: Enforcing rigorous peer review processes for safety-critical commits and upskilling junior embedded engineers.
• Automated Testing: Establishing continuous integration (CI) pipelines that run static analysis tools (e.g., QAC, Coverity) and unit test frameworks (e.g. Cantata, LDRA, CppUTest).
