Job summary

Orcapod in Pune, India seeks a senior engineering leader to drive embedded automation programs. You will apply deep expertise in motor control, embedded C/C++, Python and RTOS to deliver robust, validated systems for clients and internal teams.

You will manage projects, mentor engineers, collaborate with hardware and software groups, and interface with customers. Expect hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes and test benches, Agile delivery, and rigorous defect tracking in JIRA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years managerial experience with embedded automation and client facing responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Python and pytest.
• Hands-on with motor control algorithms (6-step commutation, BLDC, PMSM).
• Knowledge of I2C, UART, SPI, CAN.
• Hardware experience with STM, XMC controllers.
• Experience in schematic design and reading.
• Experience with Agile project management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in automotive or industrial motor control applications.
• Prior MAGTROL experience is a plus.

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.


• 10+ yrs of Managerial Candidate with good embedded automation and client facing experience.


• Strong proficiency in Python and pytest framework.


• Hands-on experience with motor control algorithms (6-step commutation, BLDC, PMSM).


• Deep knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN).


• Hardware expertise with STM, XMC, and similar controllers.


• Experienced in schematic design and reading


• Methodologies: Proven track record of managing projects using Agile methodologies.


• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.


• Strong understanding of motor control principles (BLDC, PMSM, AC/DC motors).


• Experience with embedded C/C++, Python, RTOS, and microcontroller architectures.


• Work with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and motor test benches.


• Track, analyze, and report defects using tools like JIRA or similar.


• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools and communication protocols.


• Experience in automotive or industrial motor control applications.


• Prior experience in MAGTROL is a big plus.
