Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an ELV engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in design and execution of ELV/IBMS systems for large-scale data centers and buildings. The role involves BIM coordination, submittal reviews, and close collaboration with clients and vendors to ensure seamless integration of security, IT, and networking systems.

The candidate will work on RFI/RFP responses, prepare technical specs, and coordinate across multiple disciplines to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and execution coordination for ELV/IBMS projects.
• Hands-on with REVIT, AUTOCAD and NavisWorks for BIM and coordination.
• Ability to review submittals, shop drawings and vendor drawings.
• Customer-facing skills and ability to manage co-locations/data centers.
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as IS/TIA 942/NBC/FPA/BICSI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Technical Specifications for MEP with IBMS/ELV/IT/Networking.
• Prepare Design Basis Report for IBMS/ELV/IT/Telcomm/Networking.
• Review ELV/IBMS submittals and data sheets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors/partners through design and approval stages.
• Deliver co-ordination among MEP disciplines for day-to-day activities.

ELV Job Description for 5 to 7 Years

Understanding the RFI/RFI Document and Preparation of RFI/RFP

General

• Understanding the RFI/RFI Document and Preparation of RFI/RFP
• Preparation of Technical Specification of MEP with IBMS/ELV/IT/Networking/Tele communications along with Service providers
• Preparation of Design Basis Report of IBMS/ELV/IT/Telcomm/Networking
• Preparation of IBMS/ELV/IT/Telcomm/Telcomm Scope Document from RFI/RFP
• Experience in review of IBMS/ELV Technical submittals and data Sheets.
• Experience in attending the Prebid Discussion and clarifications/ Meetings with End Users/Consultant/Clients.
• Experience in Drawings preparation/Comments to Subcontractors or Partners for review and approval stages.
• Should have facing customer facing roles and able to handle the Co-locations/Hyper scale Data Centers independently.
• Site Experience on Designing / Execution co-ordination.
• Should have vast experience in Co-ordination among the MEP disciplines in terms of day to day designing & execution.
• Should have more knowledge and hand on experience with REVIT, AUTOCAD, NAVIS WORKS
• Knowledge of Standards & Code IS/TIA 942/BS/NBC/NFPA/ BICSI & EIA
• Experience in preparation of Bill of Quantity, Bill of Materials, Quantity schedule, Cable Schedule from RFP/Initial layouts.
• Experience in Software Handling JVSG for CCTV, Revu BlueBeam and other Supporting tools in ELV/IBMS system.
• Review of Partner Shop Drawings
• MS Office knowledge in advanced level

Security System

• Physical Level/Layers of Security Understanding & design implementation.
• Design and review of Physical security system on Perimeters and its interfaces (Mantraps, Flap Barriers, Turnstiles, Boom Barrier, Under Vehicle scanning, Bollards, Road Blockers, Tyre Killer, Swing Gates etc.
• Understanding & Experience in Access Control System with all latest technology implementation like
• Understanding & Experience in CCTV System with Software’s knowledge, Storage calculation and Understanding the Servers and client machine Specification.
• Designing of Security systems System Architecture Preparation.
• Vast knowledge in Security system software handling like Milestone/ Gallagher/ Graymatics video analytics tools experience.

Integrated Building Management system

• Understanding of DDC/ PLC based system.
• Designing and preparation of IBMS System Architecture with all the MEP third party Interface details
• Scope understanding preparation BMNS with other Third party vender.
• Sequence of Logic/Operation Preparation
• Control system integration/Interface like Electrical EPMS monitoring, Chiller CPM Handson Experience.
• BMS, SCADA, CPM I/O Summary Preparation
• Co-ordination with Third party venders to get the work done.
• WLD & RRS System Review & Design working

Other MEP Co-ordinations

• Preparation of Cable Tray, Wire Mesh filling Calculation
• Navis Walkthrough with client & Vendors
• Shop Drawings complete Review and IFC/GFC/DD Preparation based on the client document

Information Technology / Telcomm / Service Providers

• Understanding and Designing of Networking systems like Data Points, Voice Points, Talk Back systems WIFI systems.
• Software knowledge to handle the WIFI Heat mapping tool.
• Understanding the Data Centre Requirements like Racking/ Wire mesh Cable tray/ Horizontal Cabling, Vertical Cabling distributions
• Review of Audio-Visual Designing.
