Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Chennai is seeking an ELV Design Engineer to lead the design of ELV systems across buildings, from conceptualization through to testing and commissioning. The role requires handling FAS, ACS, BMS, EPABX, LAN/WAN, CCTV, and PA systems, with an emphasis on interface protocols and system integration.

Must have hands-on experience with software configuration, OEM servers, and Windows environments, as well as coordinating with clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience in leading ELV systems design for buildings.
• Exposure to installation, testing and commissioning is an advantage.
• Knowledge of communication protocols and system interfacing.
• Ability to configure software and multiple OEM servers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and design ELV systems (FAS, ACS, BMS, EPABX, LAN/WAN, CCTV, PA) in buildings.
• Coordinate with site team and vendors for technical discussions and approvals.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor deliverables.
• Interface with other system engineers/contractors for sign-off and approvals.

Job Description ELV Design Engineer

Lead & Design of ELV systems(FAS, ACS, BMS, EPABX, LAN/WAN,CCTV, PA System etc.) in various buildings.

Exposure to installation, testing commissioning will be added advantage

Thorough Knowledge of Communication protocols & interface with various systems

Working knowledge of modern ELV systems and should be able to do software configuration.

Must be able to do configuration of multiple OEM servers

Must be able to handle networking and Windows operating system.

Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures) specifically production of FDS, DDS .

Must be able to handle ELV system and related BMS system integration.

Must have knowledge on 3D modelling and resolving clashes.

Responsible for RFQ preparation, technical evaluation of related vendors & vendor deliverables.

Interface signoff with other system engineers/contractors

Responsible for getting statutory approvals

Responsible for coordination with site team

Co-ordinate with Client/Engineer/ Vendor and other contractors for technical discussion and getting final approval.
