Job summary

Black Box is seeking an experienced Project Manager (ELV systems) in Mumbai to lead end-to-end ICT infrastructure and solution projects. You will coordinate internal teams, vendors, and clients, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and in line with quality standards.

The role requires strong ELV knowledge, site surveys, AutoCAD interpretation, and robust communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. OEM certifications are preferred and on-site coordination is expected.

Qualifications

• ELV systems knowledge including CCTV, ACS, BMS and access controls.
• Reading AutoCAD layouts and verifying on-site; produce red-line drawings.
• Experience with BOQ generation and site surveys.
• Hands-on with Cat6/Cat6A terminations and test equipment.
• Strong communication via speaking and email.
• OEM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with schedules, milestones, and resources.
• Identify risks and create mitigation plans.
• Manage end-to-end ELV projects from initiation to handover.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and KPIs.
• Maintain project documentation and sign-offs.
• Be the single point of contact for clients, vendors and teams.
• Facilitate status meetings and effective escalations.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Conduct client acceptance tests.
• Maintain records for audits and learnings.

Job Description: PROJECT MANAGER (preferred ELV systems)

The Project Lead/Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of ICT infrastructure and solution projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with quality and client expectations. The role involves managing multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and customers, while ensuring adherence to organizational and industry standards.

Key Skills

• Good understanding of ELV solutions, structured cabling standards & Active Networking etc
• Knowledge of different ELV systems like CCTV, ACS, BMS, Rodent, Vesda, Intrusion Alarm System, PA, FA, G ate Barrier & Parking Management
• Knowledge in EIA/TIA 568 Cabling Standards
• Able to read AutoCAD layout drawing and verify at site and prepare red-line drawing.
• Conduct Site survey and prepare BOQ and Verify BOQ prepared by others.
• Hands on Experience in Termination of Cat6, Cat6A Modules, Experience in handling different types of Testing Equipment, downloading test results, analyzing reports and preparing documents.
• Conduct Quality Audit of Cable Installation, Termination, dressing and labeling etc.
• Communication Skills – Speaking and Email Communication.
• Prefer to have OEM Certifications

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans covering schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resources. Strong understanding of project management methodologies/tools- Microsoft Project.
• Identify potential risks, constraints, and dependencies; create mitigation and contingency plans.
• Manage end-to-end ELV projects from initiation to handover
• Monitor project progress, track key performance metrics, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Manage project documentation — project charters, schedules, status reports, and acceptance sign-offs.
• Act as a single point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular project review meetings and status updates.
• Ensure proactive communication and effective escalation handling to avoid project delays.
• Estimate, allocate, and manage project resources efficiently.
• Ensure project execution follows defined quality standards, safety norms, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct quality checks and acceptance tests with clients.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and closure reports for audits and learnings.
