Job description

Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

JOB SUMMARY

You will own the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle—translating mission requirements into robust schematic designs, high-speed PCB layouts, optimized component choices, and thoroughly tested physical boards. By bridging high-level architectural concepts with rigorous bench testing, you will ensure our electronics meet strict aerospace reliability and performance standards.

As a core technical contributor within a vertically integrated team, your work directly impacts design turnaround time, board bring-up success rates, and power optimization metrics across active satellite sub-systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End-to-End PCB Design: Create multi-layer schematics and high-density PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro, adhering to signal integrity and aerospace manufacturing guidelines.
  • Hardware Bring-Up & Debugging: Perform board bring-up, functional verification, power-tree testing, and signal troubleshooting in an electronics lab setting.
  • Power & Resource Management: Analyze system-level power budgets, evaluating battery, solar, and power management IC (PMIC) architectures for orbital flight environments.
  • Component Engineering & BOM Ownership: Select space-grade or high-reliability active/passive components, generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manage alternate parts to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Cross-Functional System Integration: Collaborate with embedded firmware, mechanical, and system engineering teams to define hardware interfaces and communication protocols.
  • Technical Documentation & Revision Control: Produce comprehensive design documentation, test plans, revision histories, and verification reports to support satellite quality standards.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware circuit design and bench-level debugging.
  • EDA Tools: Proven proficiency in Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Core Fundamentals: Strong grounding in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
  • Architecture: Hands-on experience working with ARM Cortex-M MCU hardware ecosystems.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
  • Specialized Hardware: Familiarity with space-grade MCUs, specifically Microchip SAM V71 (ARM Cortex-M7).
  • Protocols: Experience designing for standard interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232, and RS485.
  • Firmware Awareness: Basic understanding of C programming for embedded systems to streamline hardware-software integration.
WHY JOIN US?
  • Pioneer Private Spacetech: Work inside India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production factory, building hardware actively destined for orbit.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Escape hyper-specialized silos; touch every phase of hardware development from concept layout to final mission-ready integration.
  • Cutting-Edge Lab Culture: Work alongside world-class aerospace engineers, satellite system architects, and defense technology leaders in an innovative environment.
  • Career Acceleration: Fast-track your engineering capabilities with exposure to advanced space protocols, high-reliability designs, and rapid hardware iterations.
