Job description

Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Full Stack Engineer on our core software team in Hyderabad, you will design, deploy, and scale the critical applications that drive both on-board and ground-based satellite systems. You will bridge complex telemetry and data pipelines across web, desktop, and server environments—enabling real-time communication between operators and orbital assets.

In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of software modules, architect robust RESTful services, design resilient PostgreSQL schemas, and implement one-to-many client-server architectures. Your core impact will be measured by system reliability, latency minimization, code maintainability, and seamless cross-functional integration with embedded and payload teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End-to-End System Development: Architect, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications and services using Python, React, and PostgreSQL across server, desktop, and web platforms.
  • Mission Integration: Develop reliable software interfaces for on-board payload communication and ground-station satellite mission management.
  • API & Service Architecture: Build, document, and secure high-throughput RESTful APIs powering critical internal operations and external satellite subsystems.
  • Data Layer Optimization: Design scalable PostgreSQL schemas, write high-performance queries, and enforce data integrity and audit trails for flight and telemetry data.
  • Architectural Scalability: Implement one-to-many (single-instance, multi-client) software architectures to support distributed ground operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with embedded engineers, satellite system architects, and product leads to translate mission requirements into production code.
  • Engineering Rigor: Drive CI/CD automation, code reviews, automated testing, and comprehensive technical documentation to maintain mission-critical software standards.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience: 1–3 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
  • Core Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in Python (backend frameworks) and React.js (frontend development).
  • Databases: Practical experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, indexing, and data modeling).
  • API Development: Proven track record of designing, securing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Tooling & Version Control: Strong command of Git workflows (branching strategies, PR reviews) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Aerospace/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
NICE-TO-HAVE
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and Linux/Ubuntu server environments.
  • Experience with real-time data streaming (WebSockets, message brokers) or distributed system architectures.
  • Prior domain exposure or curiosity regarding aerospace, telemetry, IoT, or embedded hardware integration.
WHY JOIN US
  • Direct Mission Impact: Work on software that communicates with real hardware operating in low Earth orbit.
  • Pioneering SpaceTech Culture: Join a fast-growing aerospace pioneer leading private-sector satellite mass production in India.
  • Technical Ownership: High-autonomy environment where early-career engineers own entire modules from architecture to production deployment.
  • Collaborative & Inclusive: Flat hierarchy, cross-disciplinary learning alongside world-class aerospace and embedded engineers, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
