Job summary

India Nippon Electricals is seeking an Electronics Buyer responsible for sourcing electronic components and assemblies for production and new product development. You will coordinate with suppliers, negotiate commercially, manage POs, and ensure materials are available on time while meeting cost and quality targets.

The role involves cross-functional coordination with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering and Finance teams to maintain uninterrupted supply and compliance with procurement

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control and cost reduction strategies.

• Procure electronic components and assemblies as per production and project requirements.
• Release and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers.

• Manage relationships with approved suppliers and resolve supply-related issues.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
• Support annual cost reduction initiatives and track commodity price movements.

The role involves supplier coordination, commercial negotiations, purchase order management, inventory control, and ensuring timely availability of materials while meeting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

• Procure electronic components and assemblies as per production and project requirements.
• Release and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with planning and stores teams for material availability.
  Supplier Management
• Manage relationships with approved suppliers. Resolve supply-related issues in coordination with suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
  Commercial Activities
• Support annual cost reduction initiatives.
• Track commodity price movements and market trends.
  Inventory & Supply Planning
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Ensure availability of critical electronic components.
  Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance teams.
• Participate in supplier issue resolution and corrective action activities.
  Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Support audits and internal control requirements.
