Job summary

Kinetic Green Energy And Power Solutions in Pune HO seeks a Senior Buyer to drive sourcing, should-costing, negotiations, and vendor management for E&E components. He will generate cost models for PWT parts, and lead supply chain requirements with focus on critical parts.

The role involves category strategy development, supplier ecosystem expansion, and collaboration with R&D during prototypes to ensure design-for-cost and robust sourcing strategies. On-site role based at Pune HO.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of buyer experience in electronics/auto/electrical domains.
• Experience in cost modelling and should-costing.
• Familiarity with MSA/GPA contracting and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Category Strategy: Develop long-term sourcing strategies for E&E commodities (Semiconductors, PCBAs, Wiring Harnesses).
• Supplier Ecosystem Development: Onboard global and domestic Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers and build strategic partnerships.
• Cost Management: Lead should-cost modelling and Total Cost of Ownership analysis; drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• NPD: Collaborate with R&D during prototypes to ensure Design-to-Cost and manufacturability.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage electronics supply chain risks; develop Plan B sourcing for critical parts.
• Contracting: Negotiate MSAs, GPAs, and Quality Agreements with favorable terms.

Role Objective -

Looking for a professional for Buyer Role for E&E Components (Electrical and Electronics) .

He will be responsible Sourcing, Should Costing, Negotiation, Vendor Management, generate Cost Model for PWT parts, drive supply chain requirements.

He should have working exposure for Critical Parts line Battery, Motor, Controller, Convertor, Battery Management System, Charger, Lighting System, Wiring Harness etc.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Category Strategy: Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for E&E commodities (Semiconductors, PCBAs, Wiring Harnesses, Sensors, and Thermal Management systems).
2. Supplier Ecosystem Development: Identify, audit, and onboard global and domestic (localization) Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers. Move beyond transactional vendor management to build strategic partnerships.
3. Cost Management: Drive "Should-Cost" modelling and "Total Cost of Ownership" (TCO) analysis. Lead annual price negotiations and cost-reduction initiatives through value engineering (VAVE).
4. NPD (New Product ): Collaborate with R&D and Engineering during the prototype phase to ensure "Design-to-Cost" and "Design-for-Manufacturing."
5. Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage the electronics supply chain risks (e.g., semiconductor lead times, obsolescence, and geopolitical shifts). Develop "Plan B" sourcing for critical "Single Source" components.
6. Contracting: Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), General Purchasing Agreement (GPAs), and Quality Agreements ensuring favourable terms, IP protection, and liability coverage.
