Job summary

India Nippon Electricals in Tamil Nadu seeks a senior procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing for automotive electronic components, drive supplier development, cost optimization, and supply assurance to ensure uninterrupted supply.

You will manage RFQs, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to support new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for automotive electronic components.
• Lead RFQ, supplier selection, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Identify alternate sources to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Drive localization and supplier diversification initiatives. Supplier Management
• Evaluate, develop, and manage domestic and international suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development (QCDD).
• Coordinate supplier audits along with Quality and Engineering teams.
• Ensure supplier compliance with automotive industry standards.
• Lead annual cost reduction and VA/VE initiatives.
• Analyze cost breakdowns of electronic components and assemblies.
• Support budgeting and target cost activities.
• Monitor commodity trends and recommend sourcing strategies.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical electronic components.
• Manage inventory levels and lead-time optimization.
• Coordinate with suppliers to improve delivery performance.
• Monitor supply chain risks related to semiconductors and other critical components.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams.
• Support new product development projects through supplier nomination and procurement planning.
• Participate in APQP activities and new supplier onboarding processes.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, payment terms, logistics terms, and service level agreements.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain procurement documentation and audit readiness.
