Job summary

Vijaybhoomi University seeks a proactive Lab In-Charge to manage the Electronics Systems and Robotics Laboratory, with hands-on expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, robotics platforms, and automation.

You will maintain equipment, assist faculty and students, set up experiments, ensure safety, and coordinate with vendors. A strong background in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and programming (C/C++, Python) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a lab technician or engineering support role in academic or R&D settings.
• Strong understanding of circuits, microcontrollers, automation, and robotic platforms.
• Experience with soldering, PCB design tools, and embedded programming (C/C++, Python).
• Familiarity with control systems, actuators, sensors, and machine vision modules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage laboratory equipment related to electronics, IoT, embedded systems, and robotics.
• Assist faculty and students during practical sessions, workshops, and project demonstrations.
• Set up lab experiments and ensure the availability of hardware, components, and development boards (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, etc.).
• Provide technical support and mentoring for student innovation, prototypes, and research projects.
• Ensure safety protocols, documentation, and preventive maintenance of lab infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, servicing, and upgradation of lab assets
• Manage inventory of sensors, actuators, ICs, PCBs, tools, and mechanical kits
• Contribute to interdisciplinary tech events, competitions, and exhibitions.
