Job summary

Kennametal, Inc. is seeking skilled technicians in Bengaluru to perform machine sub-assembly, assembly and installation at customer sites. The role requires ITI – Fitter Trade with 6–8 years hands-on experience in SP machines, VTLs, and grinders. Candidates should understand part drawings, layouts, and basic hydraulics/pneumatics. Kannada is advantageous, English or Hindi preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI candidates with 6–8 years hands-on experience in sub-assembly and assembly of SP machines.
• Basic knowledge of machine sub-assemblies like spindle, slide, column and gear boxes.
• Hands-on scrapping experience and ability to read drawings and layouts.
• Knowledge of geometrical accuracies and measuring tools.
• Fundamentals of hydraulics, pneumatics and coolant systems.
• Basics of drills, taps and metric/BSP sizing.
• Safety and PPE fundamentals.
• Kannada communication; English & Hindi preferred.

• Machine sub-assembly, Machine assembly, Machine Installation at Customer Site

Desired skills and Experience

• Should have 6 to 8 years of hands on experience for ITIs candidates in sub-assembly, assembly of Special Purpose Machines, VTLs, Tool & Cutter Grinders.
• Basic knowledge & exposure to Machine Sub-assemblies like Spindle, Slide, Column, Feed drive, Rotary tables, Gear boxes, work handling etc.,
• Hands on scrapping experience
• Ability to understand part drawings, assembly drawings & machine layout
• Knowledge of Geometrical accuracies like straightness, squareness, concentricity, TIR, parallelism, measuring instruments etc.,
• Basic knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics , Coolant systems & circuits
• Basic knowledge of drills, taps, size selection- Metric & BSP, etc.,
• Fundamentals of Safety & PPE
• Basic communication skills – Kannada. English & Hindi preferred
