Overview

Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer with 6 months to 3 years of experience. Collaborates with Team Leads, Engineering Managers and Project Managers to design, develop and optimize electro-mechanical systems and components. Emphasis on quality, innovation, and efficiency in both electrical and mechanical applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the design and development of complex electro-mechanical systems and components.
• Create and review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and user manuals.
• Ensure all designs adhere to company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables in coordination with Team Leads or Project Managers.

Required qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 6 months to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in sheet metal design with a minimum of 6 months experience.
• Experience in creating detailed 2D/3D design drawings and specifications.
• Experience in SolidWorks or Inventor (any one is mandatory).

Desirable qualifications

• Experience in designing LV, MV and HV switchgears/switchboards.
• Experience in designing LV/MV distribution panels, hybrid generators, recloser panels, transformers, mobile substation skids, metering panels, solar power distribution panels.
• Experience in designing enclosures, busbars, insulating supports, or electrical components.
• Knowledge of design and heat dissipation, calculations, structural and thermal analysis.
• Understanding electrical SLDs and three-line diagrams; knowledge of UL, NEMA, AWS, IEEE, CSA and ANSI.
