Job summary

Kalinga Hospital in Odisha requires a skilled electrical technician to handle day-to-day LV/MV maintenance and DG switching during power outages. The role demands knowledge of DG components, interconnections, earthing, and basic electrical documentation.

The candidate should be proficient in wiring, troubleshooting, and operating starters (DOL, star-delta) and hold a valid medium voltage license. Prior experience with ACB/VCB and BMS basics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Day-to-day low/medium voltage electrical maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of DG components, interconnection, earthing principles.
• Ability to read electrical readings and maintain DG run-hour logs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of LV/MV electrical systems.
• Manage DG power transfer during outages and ensure seamless supply.
• Monitor and document electrical readings and equipment run hours.

Role & responsibilities

1. Day to day low/medium voltage electrical maintenance works
2. Changing over electricity supply to DG supply in case of power failure.
3. He must know the basic DG components, interconnection, earthing etc.
4. He must have knowledge on electrical wiring, trouble shooting & different types of starters like DOL & star-delta.
5. He must know the basic electrical documentations like taking different readings and keeping record of DG run hours etc.
6. He must know the function and basic trouble shooting of ACB (Air Circuit Breaker), VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker), synchronisation of DG sets, BMS ( building management system).
7. He must have medium voltage license.
8. He must have fundamental knowledge of transformer and DP structure.
9. He must be familiar with Consent to Operate (CTO), Annual electrical inspections, basic knowledge of various types of lifts & HVAC system.
