Job summary

Cadila Pharmaceuticals in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, is seeking an experienced Electrician (API Plant) to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in our API manufacturing facility. You will ensure uninterrupted plant operations through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance in a GMP environment.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, ITI Electrician certification, and preferred Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• ItI Electrician certification mandatory.
• 7–10 years of experience in API/pharma/manufacturing plants.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, electrical safety, and LOTO procedures.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, PLCs, transformers, and switchgear.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
• Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
• Ensure proper functioning of DG sets, UPS, lighting systems, and utility equipment.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with Production, Utility, QA, and EHS teams during maintenance activities.
• Ensure GMP, SOPs, statutory electrical regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in our API manufacturing plant. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted plant operations by performing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while complying with GMP, EHS, and electrical safety standards. Industrial electricians in manufacturing environments are typically responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in API/Pharma manufacturing plants.
• Exposure to utilities such as HVAC, Air Compressors, Boilers, Chillers, RO/DM systems, and ETP/STP.
• Familiarity with SAP PM or any maintenance management system is preferred.
