Job description

Job Summary

• Facilitate utility/facility services as per process requirements.
• Ensure smooth functioning of plant maintenance by providing on time engineering support to Production or Non-Production departments.
• Upkeep the plant and machinery with minimum downtime.
• Follow GMP and safety with respect to APIPL procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Maintenance Activities

• Attend to plant maintenance jobs upon notification from user departments.
• Execute assigned tasks by analyzing the nature of the work and securing suitable permits per APIPL procedures.
• Isolate electrical feeders/sources per LOTO procedures for any plant maintenance activity.
• Perform annual shutdown maintenance of all electrical panels, utilities, UPS, and other planned activities.
• Ensure electrical systems comply with electrical standards for annual electrical inspection.
• Carry out plant maintenance of electrical systems and related process, utility, and facility activities.
• Operate and maintain all DGs, UPS, chillers, A/C units, precision coolers, and perform daily checks.
• Coordinate with user departments to perform calibration activities per APIPL procedures.
• Coordinate with authorized service personnel/contractors to perform plant activities per AMC schedule and adhere to all APIPL procedures.
• Maintain and update service records and AMC reports, ensuring AMC services are performed on time as per approved schedule.
• Operate all utilities as required per APIPL procedures.
• Coordinate with authorized service personnel to perform periodic checks per AMC schedule.
• Maintain logbooks and other records per APIPL procedures.
• Maintain earthing systems and conduct periodic tests for reliability.
• Suggest energy and cost saving proposals.
• Maintain water levels in underground and overhead storage tanks across various locations.
• Ensure safety at work per APIPL safety procedures.
• Attend safety, cGMP, SOP, and other internal and external trainings as required.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by management.
• Operate track‑wise application.
• Maintain all HT/LT/DG panels, distribution transformers, and other electrical panels, as well as panel rooms, UPS rooms, and lift rooms per electrical standards and compliance points.

Project Activities

• Discuss project details and drawings with the project team.
• Prepare minutes of meetings.
• Organize and utilize required resources for the work.
• Provide safety instructions to contractors, vendors, and visitors; conduct regular training on PPE and maintain site cleanliness.
• Document necessary equipment related to projects, obtaining documents such as DQ, test certificates, MOC certificates, drawings, and installation reports.
• Install, erect, and qualify electrical systems per APIPL procedures.
• Report to superiors regarding major breakdowns or abnormalities, discuss, and plan day‑to‑day activities.
