Job summary

Accor’s Novotel in Tamil Nadu seeks a skilled Electrical Maintenance professional to ensure reliable operation of electrical systems, timely repairs and safe, compliant facilities. You will collaborate with hotel departments to sustain guest services and energy efficiency while upholding Accor’s safety standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, system testing, and adherence to environmental commitments as part of daily hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, loads and safety standards.
• Experience with repair, maintenance and installation of electrical systems in a property or hotel environment.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and environmental commitments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & cooperation with all departments of Novotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
• Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
• Ensure to possess a thorough knowledge of the electrical system of the property, circuits, loads and limits of new loads and follow set standards.
• Perform work for repair, maintenance and installation of electrical systems for the property.
• Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
• Test electrical equipment (motors, heaters, controls) for safety and efficiency using standard test equipment.
• Install fixtures and other electrical equipment.
• Inspect circuits for shielding and grounding.
• Possess knowledge of fire alarm systems and adhere to them.
• Keep workplace and storage areas clean and tidy.
• Follow instructions and safety guidelines for equipment used.
• Follow hotel security regulations (in case of fire) and align with the Environment Charter.

• Ensures that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy
• Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment (s)he uses
• Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
• Respects the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc) and meets Novotel' ISO 14001 environmental commitments as applicable to the role, if the hotel is involved in the programme
