Job summary

Operational Energy Group (OEG) in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain HT/LT electrical systems, perform motor maintenance, and interpret electrical drawings. The role requires a C license and willingness to work day/night shifts, including breakdowns and emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities include transformer and switchgear upkeep, VFDs/MCCs/PCCs/DG sets/UPS oversight, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems.
• Motor maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Electrical drawings and schematic interpretation.
• Transformer and switchgear maintenance.
• Knowledge of VFDs, MCCs, PCCs, DG sets, UPS, and battery systems.
• Familiarity with electrical measuring instruments.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in industrial and power plant environments.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineer/site manager for repairs and breakdowns.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.

• Ensure compliance with statutory and client safety requirements.

Reporting To

Electrical Engineer / Electrical In-Charge / Site Manager

Working Conditions

• Shift-based operation (Day/Night shifts).
• Willingness to work during breakdowns, shutdowns, and emergency maintenance.
• Ability to work in industrial and power plant environments.
