Job summary

Manufacturing Company in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu, is hiring an Electrical Technician with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to maintain and repair production machinery and plant equipment. ITI Electrical certification is required.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot motors, MCC panels, VFDs, and sensors, and ensure safety with LOTO, PPE, and energy-saving initiatives. Candidates must be willing to work in shifts and stay at Cheyyar.

Qualifications

• ITI Electrical certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and restore machines with minimal downtime.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, relays, MCC panels, VFDs, and electrical circuits.
• Coordinate with Production and Mechanical teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure electrical safety, LOTO, PPE, and plant safety standards.
• Assist in new machine installation and electrical modifications.

Profile: Electrical Technician

Min exp- 3 yrs

Certification- ITI Electrical

Role :-

• Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing machines and plant equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and restore machines safely with minimum downtime.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCC panels, control panels, VFDs, sensors, and electrical circuits.
• Perform electrical installation, wiring, termination, cable laying, and equipment connections.
• Monitor and maintain HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, and distribution systems, as applicable.
• Identify electrical faults using multimeters, megger, clamp meters, and other testing instruments.
• Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Production and Mechanical Maintenance teams to resolve machine-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, and plant safety standards.
• Assist in new machine installation, commissioning, electrical modification, and machine shifting.
• Inspect electrical equipment regularly and identify potential failures before breakdowns.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and identify abnormal power consumption or electrical losses.
• Maintain availability of critical electrical spares and coordinate with the maintenance team for replacements.
• Should be ready to work in shifts and stay at Cheyyar is a must.
