Job summary

THE Banyan Hr Consults is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a valid C License to manage electrical maintenance in a food-processing plant. You will work hands-on with automated panels, transformers, motors, generators and plant electrical systems while leading a small team.

The role requires minimum 7 years in manufacturing and an Electrical Engineering qualification (B.E./B.Tech/ Diploma). Accommodation will be considered for outstation candidates.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a valid C License to manage electrical maintenance and engineering activities in a food-processing manufacturing plant. The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in automated electrical panels, transformers, motors, generators, plant electrical systems and team handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete electrical maintenance activities for the food-processing plant.
• Handle automated electrical panels, control panels, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, VFDs and PLC-based systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot transformers, motors, generators/DG sets and electrical distribution systems.
• Ensure smooth operation and preventive maintenance of all plant electrical equipment.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and identify root causes to minimize production downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems.
• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, technicians and electricians.
• Allocate daily jobs, monitor team performance and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Supervise contractors and external service agencies.
• Ensure compliance with C License requirements, electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Utility, Refrigeration and EHS teams for smooth plant operations.
• Monitor electrical energy consumption and implement energy‑saving measures.
• Support installation, modification and commissioning of new electrical equipment and automated panels.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, checklists, reports and statutory documents.
• Ensure availability of critical electrical spares and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Required Skills

• Minimum 7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Valid C License / Electrical Supervisor Competency License.
• Strong knowledge of Automated Panels, MCC, PCC, APFC, VFD and PLC-based control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Transformers, Motors, Generators/DG Sets and HT/LT systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and breakdown‑maintenance skills.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety and statutory compliance.
• Team handling and leadership experience is mandatory.
• Experience in food processing/FMCG/process industries preferred.
