UST is seeking an Electrical Supplier Quality engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives and ensure part-to-print conformity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects, review specifications, and drive corrective actions at supplier sites.

The role emphasizes process improvement, DFM knowledge, and involvement in new product introductions with suppliers to maintain product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Design for manufacturability knowledge including IPC-620 and UL508A MTR.
• Familiarity with GDT, engineering drawing interpretation and metrology equipment.
• Experience with PFMEA and quality management systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead supplier problem resolutions and drive root cause and corrective actions.
• Review process specifications, drawings and first article inspections to ensure clarity and integrity.
• Drive supplier process improvements to reduce quality defects.
• Audit supplier sites for part-to-print verification and MSA/RCAs.
• Share learnings and best-known methods across the supplier base.
• Support new product development by providing supplier perspective in drawing reviews.

The Opportunity:

Looking for Electrical Supplier Quality experience.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier problem resolutions, drive root cause and correction actions at suppliers and communicate back to cross-functional team.
• Support new product development/introduction by reviewing process specifications, engineering drawings, and first article inspections to ensure integrity and clarity.
• Drive systemic supplier process improvement plans for reducing quality defects.
• Conduct audits at supplier sites - part to print verification, quality management system review, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Proliferate key learnings and BKMs (best-known methods) into the Supplier Base.
• Engage in new product development programs - providing supplier perspective into drawing reviews and product design phase.
• Support Pilot and Volume manufactory sites as the supplier engineer for specifically assigned suppliers.

Functional Knowledge

• Design for manufacturability knowledge, knowledge of IPC-620, knowledge of UL508A MTR, knowledge of AC Racks and Box build
• Well versed in quality management systems and methodologies.
• Value Stream Mapping experience
• Manufacturing/machining process development and qualification
• knowledge of GDT and Engineering Drawing Interpretation
• PFMEA knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of metrology and measuring equipment

Problem Solving

• Solves complex technical problems that have a broad impact on the business.
• Understanding and use of various problem-solving methodologies, such as 8D, six sigma, etc
